It’s exactly One month since you’ve been gone. I still miss you and I will miss you for a very long time. All the Love I have for you will never die for i’ll always remember you every time I’m on my prayer mat and every time you cross my mind. You opened my eyes to many things in life and even more so now that your gone. You may have forgotten of me then but I pray you know that for me, Your memory is still fresh in my mind, from the day we met.

I still remember your face so clearly, how you walked when I first met you all dressed in white, looking as handsome as ever. All it took was a look, from a mile a way I just knew, I have to get to know you. I don’t know why, but you were just to interestingly what I call my study. I knew what I wanted when I said my first hello. Your smile and how you talked was just so calming to the soul. It may have taken 3 months but I got my chance.

That first time, standing at what became OUR SPECIAL corner, overlooking the view and greenery. That night when you first kissed me, that feeling of jitters in your belly, heart pumping off of your chest, head spinning like a Bol whoop yet all at the same time, I felt safe…as if nothing in this world could be as good as how I felt at that moment. At that moment time stood still. “…I miss you Stranger…”

LESSONS FROM SURAH AL-KAHF:

“His companion said to him while he was conversing with him, “Have you disbelieved in He who created you from dust and then from a sperm-drop and then proportioned you [as] a man? But as for me, He is Allah , my Lord, and I do not associate with my Lord anyone.” [18:37-38]

When you disbelieve in Allah, you disbelieve in your existence, your eyes have failed to see reality. Everything is controlled by Allah, created by Allah. Your body, your eyes, your food, every subatomic particle that is the chemical basis of anything…created by Allah. So when you reject Allah, you have rejected reality, you have rejected the biggest fundamental truth and life becomes…purposeless, meaningless. 

We testify, we sanctify that there is no other Creator of the heavens and the Earth, no other controller of  everything, no one more worthy of praise, no one worthy of worship, the most Perfect, free from impurities besides Allah. One God, One purpose.

Heard this beautiful analogy in Katha the other day:

Maya is like a shadow.

When we walk away from the Sun, with our back to it, our shadow leads the way and we are enslaved to it.

When we walk towards the Sun, with our face to the Guru, our shadows fall behind us, and Maya becomes enslaved to us.
